A hybrid car is a car that has an internal combustion engine, usually gasoline and an electric motor which reduces the effort of the combustion engine and reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
As an example, there is a car that combines combustion engine and electric motor is actually an electric vehicle powered by kinetic energy from the burning fuel. This is the model most widely used in locomotives and diesel-electric generators.
Although the hybrid car pollute less than cars with internal combustion engine alone, its costs are high compared to the difference in emissions. For now, only expensive cars have this technology.
Authorities are looking to deploy this technology in public transport, as buses (buses) to improve air quality in large urban centers, which is getting worse. These differ because of lack of trolley overhead wires to provide power and can move anywhere, the trolley can travel only where there is this support.
